Anita Desai, MSN, RN, CRNP, joined Good Shepherd Rehabilitation as an inpatient nurse practitioner in January 2024. Desai sees patients on the Good Shepherd Rehabilitation Hospital Emily Howatt Pliskatt Pediatric Unit, a 20-bed pediatric inpatient rehabilitation unit in Bethlehem, Pa.
Desai received her bachelor of science in nursing at the University of Delaware, and started her nursing career as an inpatient pediatric rehabilitation nurse at DuPont Children’s Hospital in Wilmington, Delaware. She then went on to the University of Pennsylvania, where she received her master of science in nursing with a concentration in pediatric acute/chronic illness nurse practitioner. She has worked in a variety of pediatric settings, most recently as a nurse practitioner with the Mobile Youth Health Center team at St. Luke’s University Health Network.
She is excited to be a part of the interdisciplinary team on the Pediatric Unit, and looks forward to working together to maximize each child’s potential in order for them to thrive within their family and community.
