• Must include references: No immediate family members and consider using a former employer, colleague, teacher, professor, advisor or supervisor
• A phone interview with the Volunteer Department is required prior to completing background clearances.

Required clearances

• PA Criminal Background (acquired by Good Shepherd)
• PA Child Abuse History Clearance (acquired by Good Shepherd)
• FBI Fingerprinting (prepaid registration provided by Good Shepherd)

Medical requirements

• Record of flu vaccine (flu season is October-June)
• Record of COVID-19 vaccine
• PPD/TB Tine Test (paid by Good Shepherd)

Other requirements

• Review Volunteer Orientation Manual
• Complete mandatory education
• Confidentiality Agreement Assumption of Risk Waiver
