What is a Concussion?
A concussion is a mild traumatic brain injury that may occur as a result of a direct blow to the head, face or neck. The impact causes a complex chemical reaction in the brain, disrupting normal functioning. An individual may experience a concussion without losing consciousness.
What are the Symptoms of a Concussion?
Concussions can cause symptoms that last hours, days weeks or months. The most commonly reported symptoms include:

Members gather for a supportive forum and idea exchange for those recovering from concussions. Patients and their caregivers have the opportunity to share successes and challenges and to learn from one another.
Meetings are 6 p.m. on the fourth Tuesday of each month. The group meets virtually.
