Good Shepherd Rehabilitation’s own Dennis Duerring, PT, DPT, OCS, and Nicole Dennis, PT, DPT, stopped by ATVN’s studios recently to chat with Community Spotlight host Dan Mowdy about staying fit for life.
Dennis, a regional manager based out of our Slate Belt outpatient site, and Nicole, a board-certified clinical specialist in geriatric physical therapy, shared educational information and demonstrations. Dennis detailed the keys to balance and fall prevention, common risks, how to identify them and how Good Shepherd Rehabilitation’s Stay Strong Program can help.
Meanwhile, Nicole touched on exercise and strength training for older adults, including the benefits and how to get started. Special thanks to Dan for being a good sport with the exercise and balance-testing demonstrations.
