CENTER VALLEY, Pa. — Good Shepherd Rehabilitation has welcomed nine new residents from the Temple University Hospital Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation (PM&R) Residency Program at Good Shepherd Rehabilitation.
This is the third year of Good Shepherd’s collaboration with Temple. The program matches nine future physiatrists — doctors who specialize in physical medicine and rehabilitation — for a categorical training program at Good Shepherd Rehabilitation Hospital, 3200 Center Valley Parkway, Center Valley, PA 18034.
The new class of residents’ arrival marks a key milestone for Good Shepherd and Temple.
“By welcoming our third class of residents to Good Shepherd, we have completed the entire three-year cycle of the Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation Residency Program with Temple School of Medicine,” said Senior Vice President of Medical Affairs and Chief Medical Officer Dr. Sandeep Singh. “It is a great honor to help lead this residency program in collaboration with Temple School of Medicine, and to steer young, aspiring physicians to their highest potential in the field of physiatry.”

The primary aim of the Temple University Hospital PM&R Residency Program at Good Shepherd Rehabilitation is to train physicians who specialize in PM&R. For decades, Temple has been a highly ranked training program and was one of the first programs in the country to create a formalized residency program in the field of PM&R.
Good Shepherd’s physicians serve as faculty within Temple’s PM&R Department and have direct responsibility for the program’s success and integrity. Additionally, Good Shepherd departments collaborate with residents to explore and enhance opportunities for research, education and quality improvement.
